Our Fall Meeting...

Hi All,
I am writing to update you on our chapter. First of all I am pleased to announce that Chef Sean O’Brien is now the Chair of our Membership committee. We are very excited to have Sean on board; he is a well recognized chef in the Finger Lakes community as well as long time member of the ACF. We believe that with him in this position he will help make great things happen to our chapter.
Lastly for those of you who have not heard the news as of yet I will be leaving Ithaca too. I am hoping to be gone by the end of May. I do not have an exact date as of yet. It has been my pleasure to be the Secretary of the chapter for the last 2 ½ years. Our chapter has come far in this time and I am proud of what has been accomplished. We need someone to step up and fill my position. I would also like the opportunity to work with the person who would like to do this. I have made it very easy to pick up where I am leaving off. I look forward to hearing about all the success’ the chapter will continue to have after I have moved. Steven is planning on stepping down in October as President as well, so there will be an official election that will be held then to fill these positions officially. Please remember that it takes many people to keep this chapter running. I know the goal is hold another practical exam, for that to happen this chapter needs to continue to grow and it takes just a little commitment to make that happen. If you were part of the last exam I believe it is time to give back to the chapter and become more involved.
We will be having a meeting in April and when I have a date I will let you know.
